Mediation is a consensus-driven process for resolving disputes prior to litigation or at any stage of a lawsuit. Unlike trials and arbitration, the success of mediation hinges entirely on the parties reaching an agreement. This gives clients greater control over their own outcomes and allows them to create solutions that a court, arbitrator, or jury may not be able to enforce. While clients are often represented by legal aid support in mediation, they actively engage in the dialogue and in designing potential solutions.
Some court programs may direct parties to mediate and even select the mediator. However, participants remain free to either come to an accord or continue their dispute. We provide mediation services by speaking with clients, listening to their concerns, and offering guidance to help them make informed decisions, acting not just as lawyers but as mediators. Our goal is to negotiate between the parties to dissolve their disputes or disagreements. We work closely with all parties to facilitate constructive dialogue and effective dispute resolution while safeguarding their legal rights and long-term interests.
As part of our commitment to social responsibility, the firm extends legal aid support in selected matters involving individuals from economically weaker and vulnerable backgrounds. Our legal aid initiatives focus on access to justice, guidance, legal counselling, and necessary legal assistance where appropriate, including mediation services for effective dispute resolution. The firm's legal aid section is our service to society, where we provide legal advice and take legal actions on an elective basis, at no fee. Preeminent among our clients in this section are the poor and backward individuals, women, and children.
